Great for 2-year olds and their parents

Both my daughter and I adored this from the start. The book is a lot of fun to read because there are lots of sounds to make and interesting situations to discuss, and the rhythm of the text is excellent as well. The illustrations are lively and fun yet sophisticated, with a lot of black and bright colors and jagged lines. Maybe I like this a lot because I live in Brooklyn, New York and it shows a lot of the sorts of scenes we see every day (with a twist), but I think even the more suburban/rural kids would be fascinated by it. And for those kids fixated on vehicles, there are all kinds of them to see here. I'm buying several to use for birthday gifts, so I can avoid getting the standby favorites that people sometimes get duplicates of.
