One day in 1031, he walked downtown with his mother to carry bags back home after her shopping. (This was four miles round trip.) When a late model Plymouth approached them, Robert said, "I will have a car like that someday." His mother answered, "Don't say that. People like us don't have cars." But, Robert felt differently. "Even as a boy, I wanted to be a business man and I knew I could make my dreams come true." Robert would have many new cars when he grew up. Business Boy to Business Man is his story of how that all came about.
