Bush Lies in State

Being the decent man he is, Malachy McCourt has written a compassionate (but devilishly funny) book about George "Wanker" Bush and his practically unnoticed (but major failing) as president — Bush is... This description may be from another edition of this product.

. . . And Wherever Else He Opens His Mouth.

If we have to either laugh or cry, it's better to laugh, and what better [...] of our laughter than the worst president ever? Unlike the serious tone of David Corn's excellent The Lies of George W. Bush, BUSH LIES IN STATE is more reminiscent of Molly Ivans' Bushwhacked: Life in George W. Bush's America and Shrub : The Short but Happy Political Life of George W. Bush, both of which also rate 5 stars. You may learn a bit from BUSH LIES IN STATE; (many a true word is written in jest) but the main reason for reading it is to enjoy Malachy McCourt's wonderful sense of humor. watziznaym@gmail.com

Funny and well-written

Bush fans, take heed: this left-wing portrayal of our president will probably not dissuade you from voting for him. For those who oppose Bush, this book preaches to the choir in a colorful and humorous way. Caustic and satirical of the current leadership, this book reads like a cross between a novel and a comic strip, mixing fact and fiction with a paintbrush.

Even better than Bill's speech!

Malachy McCourt delivers the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about our (quote)future-former president(end quote). While the writing is McCourt-style humor, the message is no nonsense. All take heed! Make all your Republican friends read this book for their own good, and the good of America!

Bushwacked again!

As usual, Malachy McCourt tells it like it is--he doesn't worry about the Bushies poisoning his Irish stew. For anyone who has doubts about which lever to pull in November...well, just read this book.

Take back America ? send the drunks back to Crawford

Malachy McCourt and Michael Moore, both American-born Irishmen, share the outrage that a dry drunk from Texas is now the dangerous leader of the world's only superpower. Though a bit older (and more comely) than Mr. Moore, Malachy offers devastating evidence as to why George W. Bush should be denied re-election. Not only is Bush a drunk who never really sobered up (even if he no longer drinks), he is a religious zealot willing to inflict punishment on imagined enemies, even as Oliver Cromwell (a 17th Century Taliban) visited genocide on the tranquil Irish town of Drogheda, Ireland (on September 11, 1649, by an extraordinary coincidence). Malachy's short, hard-hitting chapters gnaw away at Bush (and Cheney-Wolfoiwitz-Rumsfeld's) distortions and prevarications, and emphasize why regime change is necessary in November's elections. This book is a must!
