Perfect for ages 7-10

It's a shame this book is out of print. It has some really funny stories about the kind of stuff kids go through. The title story is about a pair of twins who try to find some way to make their birthday "special", mostly to compete with their wealthier classmates. But their mother, financially strapped and raising the twins on her own, has to limit everything. Another story is about a boy who wants privacy more than anything, and goes to great lengths to get it. The stories all have happy endings. The author's point is that you don't need a load of money to achieve happiness.
