Burnout syndrome, recognized by the WHO in 2020 as a public health problem, significantly affects health professionals. This research focuses on the staff of the Bone Marrow Transplant Service (TAMO) of the Dr. Ram n Madariaga Teaching Hospital in Posadas, Misiones, during the period 2020-2022, with special emphasis on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The study analyzes the factors associated with burnout, identifying its three main dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and low personal fulfillment, and evaluates how they influence quality of life and work performance. A quantitative, observational and cross-sectional approach was used, applying the Maslach Burnout Inventory and interviews with health personnel, considering variables such as age, gender and seniority. The results allow us to understand the magnitude of the problem, provide evidence to design prevention strategies and promote effective interventions to strengthen work wellbeing, reduce psychological vulnerability and ensure better quality of patient care.
