A government spy (Jeffrey Donovan) becomes dispensed (burn notice) and stuck in Miami. He gets tailed by the FBI, fraternizes with an old girlfriend (Gabrielle Anwar), is betrayed to a point by an old friend (Bruce Campbell), and even has to deal with his mother (Sharon Gless).
Each episode has a new problem that is generally wrapped up by the end of the episode. And the long-term problem of who burned him and why; probably be revealed by season 5, and a new long-term mystery is added. This is the standard formula of most of today’s series TV programs.
This series passes the time and can be used for binge-watching. You just have to like the characters and their attitudes.
