The History is written by the victor. That is the axiom we all know. We can wonder and try to guess how the History would have been otherwise, though just guess, as reality is already different. Yet at the same time the road to victory is also History. Sometimes the record of that road is open and public. But not always. At times to achieve victory the winner prefers to hide and bury the record of events. Either on purpose or as a demand of the moment.
And so there is another axiom - "All hidden becomes open with the passage of time". This books contains two such stories. The story of Sherlock Homes and Dr. Watson -not as a fictional book characters, no, a real breathing people who once walked the Earth with us. And another story. The story of Beale Ciphers - a treasure hunt devised to guide a person to true treasure.
Of course, there can be no proof. The winner makes sure of it. Unless the passage of time will reveal to us more in future, with the coming of further generations.
Until then we can relax on sofa with a cup of hot brew and enjoy guessing and making theories.
