One of its' kind, this book features a man who luck struck a few too many times, all good and bad, after he became a vampire and a consort in a woman's harem in a world hidden in plain sight from human beings, where the strongest women are empresses of their own respective palace, each with a harem of hundreds of men they have accumulated over their long lives. The story is written as if it was written by Yi Lei, the main character, but he talks about everyone and everything he comes in contact with. In this new world, he finds that the royal family is made of humans who became vampires, but the children they have together are born as vampires. Each palace is represented by a flower that grows commonly in that palace and is interconnected with its respective empress' soul/magic. He has all eternity to figure things out, so he is taking his time getting to know everybody while he tries to remember his own human life. He is constantly reminded his story is happening right now, so he should focus on the new world around him. When he tries to do that, he mostly causes problems, as you might see in the book. On his defense, the empress know how to choose the most attractive and elegant men they can find and besides, they don't have much to do in the harem besides making themselves pretty.
