Hilarious book for your child (and yourself!)

Burger Boy is a hilarious story of a child who finds himself in a horrible situation, that his mother had been warning him about. Benny only eats cheeseburgers and eventually turns into one. The illustrations and story line are hilarious. Your child will laugh and you will laugh as well. To the person who said this book is "vegan propaganda". I think you are taking it a little bit too serious. Remember it is a childrens book, kids understand that books are not always real. When a child is read the childrens book, "Pinkalicious" where a girl eats only pink cupcakes until she turns pink, they don't really believe that next time they eat pink cupcakes the same thing is going to happen to them. It's all in fun, so relax.

In this hilarious cautionary tale, we encounter Benny, a small boy who hates vegetables and will only eat hamburgers. When his mother's warning comes true, and he turns into a hamburger, he is chased all over town by dogs, cows, and boys. When his mother finally catches up to him and brings him home, he vows never to eat another burger. The surprise ending will amuse young children, and the running Benny may remind some readers of the famous tale of the gingerbread boy, although with an altogether different ending. The quick-moving story is enhanced by the humorous, cartoon-like quality of the water color illustrations, which fits well with the silliness of the narrative. This cartoon-like aspect is also emphasized by the use of balloons for much of the dialogue. The two-page spread in which Benny slowly morphs from boy to cheeseburger is especially creative. Highly recommended for ages three and up; this story should appeal to children all the way through third or fourth grade, and makes an excellent read-aloud for preschool or elementary school children.

Benny is a boy that knows what he likes to eat. Why have healthy stuff like fruits and vegetables when you can eat burgers! His mother warns him "If you don't watch out, you'll turn into a burger one day." The prophesy happens while at his favorite restaurant Bigga Burger. A dog comes by sniffing and his mother screams "Run, Benny, run!" The race is on! Chased by dogs, cows, and hungry boys; he learns his lesson! Well until he starts eating proper but will only eat vegetables! My girl likes this books so far. She especially likes the artwork and the bunny at the end of the book! We have all heard the saying "You are what you eat"! Well young Benny only eats burgers. His mom warns him that one day if he doesn't stop eating them he will turn into a burger. Lo and behold this is what happened to him! See how Benny gets out of this strange situation!
