Burble and Bleak are siblings, but they are also Ant(onyms). This story shows the reader that they have a choice in who they want to be and how they want to respond to life, regardless of what is going on around them. Burble is happy, positive, outgoing and loves life. Her brother Bleak is the opposite. He is cranky, boring, sad and never happy. This story helps readers understand what an antonym is (opposites), but it also teaches the reader that circumstances can be exactly the same but not all people (ants) respond the same way. However, they can choose to be like Burble or Bleak.
