This is a really good book. It is worth reading if you are a bank advisor. The book covers some important areas of concern to all of us who provide financial advice for bank customers. For example, it covers how the rest of the bank views the bank advisor and how to deal with this. It also explains how to capitalize on the value of the bank association. Much of what the author describes I have experienced in my short association with my small bank. What I found lacking for me was that the book does not explain how to implement a bank advisor program in a bank. As far as I could tell, the author was associated with a bank that already had a bank advisor program in place. My problem is that for the last 4 months I have been banging my head against the wall trying to implement a bank advisor program in a bank where management wants to be able to say the bank has an investment advisor program but wont support the investment advisor, i.e., no client list, almost no leads, etc. My challenge is to convince management that the bank deposits will increase if the bank supports the bank advisor. While the book goes describes the benefits to the bank of the bank advisor program, it sights statistics that are not backed up. For example, it says that bank deposits will more than double for every dollar of investment business. What does this mean, exactly, and what is it based on. I will aver that the book does give a lot of great sales tips that you wont find elsewhere. And for that alone, it is certainly worth the cost. The writing is not too good. For example, repeated sentences, some sections that didn't seem to flow. At times I knew the author was making a good point but I could quite figure out what it was. But, then again, I'm sure the author didn't get successful as a result of his writing ability. He is obviously a talented and highly experiences financial advisor. It was worth struggling though difficult passages. Overall, I would recommend this book highly. There is nothing else out there.

Finally!!! A Book written specifically for the Bank Advisor

I began working with Bob Cobb and the Ultimate Bank Advisor book and audio series in August of 2004. Once I began to implement the new sales process, the results were immediate and dramatic! One of my Bank Partners commented to me in December of '04, "Since you have implemented the conversational stack you have closed every referral I sent since August with one exception!" WOW, wouldn't we all like to have our Bank Partners dripping with enthusiasm??? Well now you can!!! Stop "spitting" on your clients and begin to unlock your client's real motivations behind their buying decisions! Thanks BOB for a GREAT '04! Can't wait until the next book is out! Susan A. Right on the Money

This book is unbelieveable, it was just what I was looking for. This is the perfect step by step guide to taking your business beyond the next level. I can't believe how my interactions with my bankers has changed, I am getting referrals from people that never even talked to me before and aren't compensated by the bank to work with me---they are doing it because of the way this book helped position me. The part on selling is brillant. I definitely had fallen victim to the "seduction of the right side of the brain", trying to prove to prospects that they should do business with me--now I use the conversational stack and my closing ratio has doubled. This is so packed with ideas that are specifically designed for the bank brokerage industry that it will take all of next year just to implement them. If you are selling investments of any kind in a bank--this is a must read! Chuck Hightower Andover MA
