Great book from the #1 authority

I truely enjoyed reading this book and use it as a continuous reference while I'm building an authentic log cabin myself. The author has built and restored hundreds of cabins of the Applacian style hand hewn - dovelail notch type. It makes you appreciate the craftsmanship of this style vs the factory-built chinkless junk that many of the bigger kit log home manufacturers try to sell as "authentic" log homes. I'd recommend this book to anyone thinking of building or buying a log home.
