Has some helpful info, but it's not necessary to read it before building.

This book has some helpful information, but it's not really necessary to read it (or others like it) before building. I had a house built years ago before reading this book (or any other similar book) and the house came out fine. I would recommend the book to first-time home builders. While it may not be necessary, it is helpful. Please be advised - this book is identical to: "Right from the Start : Insights into Building and Remodeling Your Custom Home" ISBN: 0989514404 and "Building a Luxury Custom Home: What You Need to Know" ISBN: 0979973600 I have to say that I don't appreciate the author / publisher or whoever, slightly changing the book's titles and selling it as a different book (as opposed to printing new editions). So don't waste your money buying those other books!
