Jim Kern offers striking reminders of the value of people of all ages. Build the Fort Today suggests wisdom taught in life's lessons through children, parents, and the elderly. This book reminds the reader to appreciate the people and the lessons surrounding them, and to take the time to embrace them in our busy lives. Kern's insights teach that us that people are our most valuable resources, and that children can be the most valuable teachers. A wonderful resource for parents, grandparents, and teachers!
I highly recommend it, expecially to parents and teachers.

I read this book as an assignment from an Education professor at Defiance College. I was to read it and report on any ideas I may be able to use in the classroom or in daily living. It was hard to limit myself to 12 pages! The book is chock fullof insight into what makes for a joyful existence and what we can do to achieve such as existence for both ourselves and those around us. Anyone interested in achieving joy in his/her own life and in helping others must read this book.
