When Buddy and Olive find a very strange object in their backyard they quack at it, but it doesn't quack back. Then, they sit inside it. It's cozy in there until Buddy presses a button and there's a huge roar. It's a spacecraft and they are heading quickly into space! Luckily, the spacecraft is controlled by a wise robot. The robot takes them on an amazing trip throughout the Solar System.

Buddy and Olive learn many interesting facts about the planets and moons as they zoom around in the tiny spacecraft. However, they discover in the end that most of the other places in the Solar System aren't suitable for ducks. By the time they arrive back at Earth, they appreciate their home so much more. It's not too hot and it's not too cold. In fact, it's just perfect and there's plenty of water for ducks to swim in. Earth is the best!
