Buddha's Ten Commandments

There is a lot of confusion about religion. Is it the laws and commandments or the spiritual ascension that makes a religion? The commandments are for the wild monkeys that need to be tamed. And the spiritual ascension is for the tamed monkeys. Buddhism has a set of commandments the same as the ten commandments that Jews follow. And Christians follow the Jewish 10 commandments too. Jesus was a Jew so it kinda makes sense that people who call themselves Christians are worshipping a Jew. The crazy thing is that Christians and Buddhists cannot even follow the commandments, or precepts as they are called in Buddhism. Humanity is a joke. We are all self cantered, selfish little animals, that escaped the trees for the concrete jungles. Buddhist precepts are similar to the ten commandments: no kill, no steal, no lie, no sex with the neighbour, and no intoxication. These five are called the five precepts or Sien 5. For a Buddhist monk there are hundreds of these. Which is why many of them drink, smoke and have sex with their neighbour. These rules or laws are hard to follow but follow you must if you want to go to heaven. This book is about the five precepts that Buddhist monks say all normal people should adhere to. They are worth following because heaven is coming soon and they are so easy to understand. Worded in such a way any wayward monkey can figure them out. Have a go at following them for a month, see how long it takes you to stumble.
