Lisa and Anna Gu, talented award winning authors and illustrators, are identical twins born in Shanghai, China, in 2008 and moved to TX in 2014. As animal lovers, they started writing chapter books about animals in third grade. They won four awards from 2023 Scholastic Writing Competition, including two Silver Key awards and two Honorable Mention awards. Inspired by the two dogs that they dog-sat for three days, the eight years old twin authors picked one dog each and made up fascinating stories using their imaginations.
