Exuberant book!

Needed to check up the spelling of "exuberant" for writing this review as that is the word that comes to mind when I think of this book. The dictionary meaning pretty much sums my sentiments about the book 1. effusively and almost uninhibitedly enthusiastic; 2. abounding in vitality; extremely joyful and vigorous. 3. extremely good; overflowing; Its about a mom who really gets into the whole pirate mode with her 2 sons and makes bathtime an adventurous pretend pirate game. My kids really get into the groove of this book - a fun way to enthuse reluctant little bathers :)

FUN Bedtime book!!!

My four year old son checked this book out from our local library and just loved it, in fact we had to renew it several times. I ordered "Bubble Bath Pirates" for him for Valentines day and he never tires of reading it. So if your liitle guys are into pirates, they will love this sweet story. Tracy

A huge hit at my house!

This book tells the tale of a fun and successful bath for a Pirate Mommy and her 2 little pirates. I first read this book to my 2 and 4 year old in the bathtub, and it has now become the summer's most popular book. The enthusiasm and humor of the 2 little pirates, as well as their comraderie are very appealing to siblings (as well as parents who want to support their relationship). My children have now memorized the book and get out of the bath every night yelling "Gangway!" and sprinting around the house naked, like the pirates in the book. The pictures are colorful and exuberant and work well with the simplicity and energy of the text. However, I had to discourage my pirates from running into the kitchen and raiding the freezer for ice cream, which is what happens at the end of the bath in the book.
