Winnipeg 2024. Nineteen-year-old Jared Alexander caught an evening bus to go to work. Head down and earbuds in, he didn't see or hear the truck racing through the red light. Upon impact, Jared was hurled through the air and knocked unconscious. When he came to, he realized he was on a bus, but something was dreadfully wrong. All the young men riding the bus are in uniform and so is he. Somehow, he was riding in a military bus, in England and it is 1944. So begins the mind-bending tale of 'what is reality'? Forced to endure the rigors of training and eventually the horrors of war, Jared initially struggles to grasp his new reality while longing for the life he remembers. Throughout it all and doubting his own sanity, he gradually develops strong friendships and then a deep love for a local girl. Knowing the end of the war is near, he hopes he can survive a little longer and start a life with the woman he loves. When all is snatched away from him, he somehow has to make his way back to the love of his life, but nothing is as it seems.
