How did this become the #1 story in America, and also gain so much attention from around the world? Once considered "The World's Greatest Athlete" who embodied the physical strength most men only dream of - to then tell the world he (or she) identifies as a woman.For many younger people, Jenner has been a TV reality star. For the older generation, Jenner was considered the greatest athlete in the world. My initial question before writing this book was, "Why is this getting so much attention" - until we did some research.This is not a pro/con book of Jenner, and will not engage in petty name-calling, comparing of redundant ideals. We will call a spade a spade when necessary. As a great man once said, "Let the truth come though the heavens may fall."We just saw the case of Rachel Dolezal, who is Caucasian but says she identifies with being black. Identify is becoming an exponentially a topic for people who couldn't speak up years ago.Some critics accuse the media of exploiting the situation for ratings. After all, they are paid by commercials, and the commercials are there to sell products to consumers. If you look at the ratings, you can only imagine how much money people have made. And then again, the media isn't there to give news - they have only one bias - a financial one. It's like a dance, but who is leading? Yes, millions of people have been tuning in by the millions, but then again, if all the media channels only show Jenner, what other choice do they have? It's like a soap opera, or sports for men - you start watching, and you want to see how it develops, just like a movie. And what a great movie this would make. Former NAACP President Rachel Dolezal had said, "I cried because I resonated with some of the themes of isolation, of being misunderstood -- to not know if you have a conversation with somebody, will that relationship then end because they have seen you as one way," she said
