As 3 young'uns we moved from a normal house in a city to our cherished farm in Southern West Virginia with Mom and Dad. It was a shock for us going from "civilization" to a farmhouse with no central heating or AC, and no running water which meant NO bathroom (there was a double seater outhouse) We soon settled in and our time on the farm became treasured memories of love, fun, and adventure.
The Second Creek Chronicles are a series of short stories about "The Bowyer Kids Three", our misadventures and life down on the cherished farm we called home
This first story presented is the beginning of our tales which presents memories of a time in a winter "deep freeze" on the farm. It was so cold I still get the shivers thinking about it today
