Saul of Tarsus was a Pharisee, a highly respected member of Jewish leadership. He was a student of Gamaliel who was a well known Rabbi (Acts 22:3). The eighth chapter of the Book of Acts begins with the statement that Saul was consenting to the murder of Stephen, who was stoned to death for preaching the Gospel. Then we read of a dramatic experience that changed Saul's life, destiny and name. After that experience, he became known as Paul, the Apostle to the gentiles. The four Gospels tell us about the earthly life and ministry of Jesus Christ. They tell of His death, burial and resurrection. In the New Testament letters of Paul, the Holy Spirit brings to us the revelation of what happened to us because of Jesus Christ. That revelation is the subject of this book.
