The club is also known as Br ndbyernes Idr tsforening, or Br ndby and BIF for short. The club, founded in 1967 as a merger between two local Br ndby clubs, has won 10 national Danish football championship titles and six national Danish Cups, since the club joined the Danish top-flight football league in 1981.
