The book blends counseling, ministry, gardening, and Bible to give an overview of how we were intended to "be" at creation and what God has done to grow us into the Bride of Christ. Brokenness is an experience that is familiar to all people, often emotionally crippling people to the point they question whether God truly loves them. This book is an aid to understand the brokenness we experience in life is meant to draw us to God and grow into His nature. God places His Holy Spirit within us, and just as a seed must break for the life to grow...so we experience brokenness that allows His life within us to grow out through our soul (mind, will, emotions); effecting our actions in the world. When we understand this, our perspective of the brokenness we experience becomes a factor in drawing us closer to God. The audience for this book will be anyone who has experienced brokenness in their life and has a desire to heal and grow closer to God. It is written from a Christian perspective with an assumption the audience would primarily be Christians or seekers. Between my music ministry and counseling experience I have met with many people who have experienced brokenness. Many have blamed God and don't know how to get over this blaming, or how to re-establish their relationship with God. All the hurt that I have seen has prompted the writing and desire to bring people closer to God and wholeness in their own souls. I would like for readers to have an understanding that God loves them through their experiences of brokenness and learn how to cope with situations life throws at them. To be able to re-frame their past as it has brought them into relationship with God with an ability to live the fullness of life that God desires for us to have.
