Prison is all it's cracked up to be: misery encased in concrete and razor wire. It's not only the physical pain from beatings and murders within those bleak walls. It's the raw psychological adrenaline that pumps through your heart and mind like a relentless pit bull intent on destroying your very soul. In Broken to Rise Doyl C. Tully dissects his life of what some might deem a petty crime and flays his sins like a snared catfish. He censors himself without political correctness and with candid humility. It is one man's story of how his selfish desires stripped him of everything and anything he deemed worthwhile: his home, his career, his family. It also demands an honest assessment of what God has given to every man and woman--the ability to choose his and her own way. It is when Mr. Tully chooses God that his life changes, not the consequences, however, but the path Mr. Tully takes which leads him to a life fulfilled by his Creator. The author of Broken to Rise shows what God can do with one life whose past was guided by satan but through God's grace became completely dedicated to Him. I read it in one sitting; couldn't put it down. The author's persistent and utmost trust in God is inspiring. All things are possible with God!

From druggies to believers

This book is an easy read with a message that needs to be heard. Once you start reading you will have a hard time putting it down. The converstion of this couple from druggies to God fearing believers is amazing and shows how God can work in anyone's life who sincerely calls on Him in desperation. A good read which I highly recommend.

This true life testimony of Doyl Tully is one that can only encourage and strengthen ones walk in the Lord as they read each page of this highly gripping book. His extreme faith in the Lord was relentless as he and his wife faced countless attacks from the enemy. God's promises are for the Tully's just as they are for anyone else who will but trust in God in all things. This book would be an excellent resource for any church or family counselor to have on hand, given the out of control alcohol and drug use problems we have in our society today. Many lives could be changed if they would simply choose to do what Pastor Tully did. Choose God.
