Unfortunately all relationships do not last. Although it is a lot more fun to focus on the "happily ever afters", it is a fact of life that relationship can be difficult and many do not end well. In Broken Relationship, the author uses poetry to explore the emotions involved in relationships that are difficult. Excerpt: "You need my empathy and my compassion, but I am finding it hard to reach out to you. You want me to give to you, but you have not been able to give to me. Where was your compassion when I needed it? Where was your empathy? Cold, intellectual responses were what you gave. So wrapped up in your own hurt, you seem oblivious to mine."
