Broken Hope

By Megan Russ

The battle is done, but the war is far from over.

Rot continues to spread within the center of the Treefolk Nation. Darkness surrounds the Monastery of the Leaf, and it is time for its young warriors to prove themselves on their own.

The physical scars are healed, but the Blooded still carry the memories of that long night in the camp of the Red Claws. Nightmares and fear, plague the survivors of the gnoll hunt, but there is no time for them to relax. The sick beasts and the Red Claws were just the beginning. Shadows lengthen and the trees grow darker as a new evil slithers among the roots. Monsters roam the forest, and the Monks of the nation must stand between vicious claws and the innocent.

Reed and Railen return in this epic continuation of the Balance of Fates series. Join these two young monks as they venture into the forest of the Treefolk Nation and root out the decay that has spread through the trees. With the support of their squad, they face a darkness unlike any the nation has seen in centuries.

It is time for the Red Squad to rise, for heroes to emerge and lead. Aearth might be broken and without magic, but its people are not without hope.
