Broken Dove: The St. Ives murders - an award winning, disturbing crime thriller.

(Book #2 in the DI Treloar Series)

Two young girls go missing from a holiday park swimming pool in St Ives, Cornwall while early arrivals begin revelling at DI F lipe Treloar's nearby May Day party. But a ghost from summers past is coming, and unbeknownst to all, bringing madness and violence in her wake.

Who is tormenting the beautiful Amy? Is it a demented fan turned stalker of women or someone much closer to home?

And what is wrong with the parents of one of the missing girls; what are they hiding? Have the girls been kidnapped? Is there a ransom note? Or have the girls simply wandered off for the day?

As tragedies and killings unfold, a troubled soul with dark family secrets is falling deeper and deeper into a personal hell; resentments grow, hallucinations become ever more real.

Treloar and his Sergeant chase answers from the wilds of Cornwall to the busy streets and leafy lanes of London. For this male, female detective team, events bring back forgotten memories and long buried emotions. They are challenged to the core. But the ruthless, and to some, rebel, Treloar meets a kindred spirit. And the rules are left behind.

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING ABOUT BROKEN DOVE AND THE DI TRELOAR SERIES

Really enjoyed Broken Dove - Lucyloo, UK

Really enjoyed Broken Dove. It is quite hard to put down so I'm glad I was on holiday when I read it It is fast moving in all the locations, Cornwall obviously being the main one, which LA Kent really brings alive ......I live near London and go into town often and I found the London settings interesting and realistically described. I've not been to Amsterdam but it sounds interesting enough to make me want to go

LOVE THIS SERIES - klevergirl, USA, after reading Silent Gull, no. 3 in series, on Amazon USA

I have read all of this series so far and found each enjoyable. The main characters are fully fleshed out and I found them easy to like. The storylines are good and I am eagerly awaiting the next one.

The Best Adult Fiction award winning English crime thriller, a psychological police procedural, in the DI Treloar series.

One of the award judges commented 'Among so many "murder mysteries" currently available Broken Dove has an original and entertaining plot. I found it easy to read, thought-provoking and enjoyable.'

Perfect for fans of Joy Ellis, David Blake, Cara Hunter, Nick Louth, Robert Bryndza, Angela Marsons or Peter Robinson.

SET IN CORNWALL: Cross the Tamar at Plymouth heading west into Cornwall and you enter a different world; a land of steep wooded valleys, their depths shrouded in mist, the road sweeping and swooping through the countryside.

Places at the edge, islands and peninsulas or coastal mountain terrains, have a distinct and different atmosphere; light reflecting off the open sea, the seemingly boundless expanse of water, the anticipation and exhilaration of ports and harbours.

The south coast, a land of wooded valleys, fingers of water probing inland from the sea; the rivers Looe, Fowey, Helford and the Fal, daddy of them all. A sheltered, confined, shaded and enclosed land. And the north, a land of high windswept moorland, exposed, exhilarating endless horizons, gnarled fingers of land poking out into the sea; Cape Cornwall, Gurnard's Head, Zennor Head. This far west the land feels more ancient, less cultivated; the peninsula is narrow, almost an island and the weather can be unpredictable, changing quickly. Welcome to Treloar's homelands.
