Broken Blocks: The Geldenfred Chronicles Journal One (Chronicles of a Planet's End)

By Tatiana Beller

In the year 2536, a catastrophic explosion rips through a floating space station, sending debris scattering across the void. Amid the chaos, a four-armed, purple-skinned woman leaps from the blast into a remote-controlled ship with breathtaking agility, a move reminiscent of a prima ballerina's grace. Captured by a grainy security camera, this daring escape reveals the woman to be First Officer Madu Randeraton, the most decorated officer in the Universal Intergalactic Police Force's five-hundred-year history. Watching from a distant terminal, Junior Officer Remi Geldenfred, wearing the same UIPF jumpsuit, finds herself mesmerized by Randeraton's flawless movements. Remi, stationed on a smaller scientific research space station orbiting Earth, spends her days monitoring security and yearning for adventure. Her unauthorized access to UIPF's mainframe and fascination with Officer Randeraton's videos hint at her longing for a more thrilling life. Despite excelling in her training, Remi's physical abilities barely meet the UIPF's rigorous standards, leaving her confined to desk duty. As she delves deeper into her mother's genetic research, Remi uncovers a hidden project involving the forbidden splicing of human and Sentinel DNA, raising questions about her own origins and abilities. When a visiting committee from Station B arrives, bringing with them powerful humans, Kanderi security guards, and Arimina scientists, Remi's life takes an unexpected turn. Amidst political tensions and scientific intrigue, Remi's unique skills catch the attention of First Officer Xanom, who offers her a coveted position on Station B. Torn between duty and the secrets of her past, Remi embarks on a journey that will challenge her identity and place her at the heart of intergalactic intrigue, where the line between ally and enemy blurs in the vast expanse of space. Join Remi's adventures and meet her incredible team. Read now. Broken Blocks is the first journal of The Geldenfred Chronicles and part of Chronicles of a Planet's End.
