Broadway Musicals: A J-e-w-i-s-h Legacy TV Movie 2013, standalone movie. PBS and Broadway Musicals - A J-e-w-i-s-h Legacy Great Performances S40 E40 Episode aired Jan 1, 2013. Great Performances has never made a clunker. This production is exemplary even for Great Performances. If you are expecting the story of the migration of Jews from NSDAP Germany, it is in the presentation, but not nearly the focus. The focus is on Broadway. We get to know the people who invented it, developed it, and discovered it. Even though it is in soundbite form, the clips from old TV movies and stage plays are worth viewing alone. I would like to have full copies of many of the stage plays. The list of people mentioned is extensive. However, many of the people that are shown will surprise you. We get songs such as “Springtime for H-i-t-l-e-r” by Songwriter Mel Brooks, and “If You Could See Her” Song by Alan C-u-m-m-i-n-g, Joyce Chittick.
