My life and career were wonderful -- full of interesting experiences. The opportunities that came my way probably assisted me in achieving some of my goals. I never realized that many of my goals could be reached. I had a rich career and met many challenges. My early personal experiences which included a few adversities undoubtedly helped me move forward. I am glad that I had the opportunity to travel around the globe several times to assist many countries. In addition to the time spent in assisting countries to improve food production, I am glad that I was able to offer my time and effort in the educational field. The contacts with several thousand students at universities were joyful and rewarding. The research programs in assisting the agricultural industries were expensive, but, hopefully, all of these efforts will, in a small way, make this a better world to live.
