The book contains over 200 pages, mostly of Tokens and their variations. The keyword being British, this covers many worldwide locations such as England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. The chapters are divided into centuries from the 17th through the 19th. More than a coin catalog, there is a selected Bibliography of general works on tokens. Also, a fine introduction to what a token is. Included is a list of "Arms of the Merchant Guilds." Even a Condensed form of an article by C.W. Peek from their 1949 Copper Catalog.
