Post WWII to 1951 Synopsis of British Car Componentry
Published by Dedicated Thriftbooks Client , 4 years ago
A book for non-technical car owners of the day. Originally published in England written by Autocar Magazine editors, it is not specific for any British make as each chapter deals with the different components such as engine, brakes, cooling, carburation, etc. Illustrations are very good but generic in nature and photographs of existing parts and assemblies do not identify the marque
they represent. It is very good as a general training manual for the interested beginner back in the fifties. Floyd Clymer reprinted it for an American domestic market to stimulate interest in the differences that existed between British and American cars.
