Adorable and educational

This book has the most adorable animal as people illustrations. It is the story of a bear who gets gets a phone call from his uncle who wants to come visit him. Brindle Bear has to pick his uncle up at the train station at 6 o' clock, then Brindle has to know how to tell when it's 6 o'clock, so he goes and pays a visit to the watchmaker, Lionel, to buy a watch, but Lionel has to teach Brindle how to tell the time. The story goes on from there with adorable illustrations of Lionel teaching Brindle how to tell time with all his clocks. After Brindle learns to tell time, he goes off to have tea with another a friend and we learn more about telling time from that segment of the story. Every where Brindle goes, there are clocks and it explains what time it is and what time he arrives, and what time he has to be at the next place, etc.. I collect children's books with illustrations, and I absolutely love the illustrations in this book. The story is fun and quite cute and entertaining, while at the same time a great way to sit down and look at telling time together with a young one and lots of fun things to talk about while doing so. Great book!!
