This book is sexy and irresistible.

Delilah Street is back in Brimstone Kiss. At the request of her landlord, she is still trying to discover the mystery of the lovers found in Sunset Park. However, the eccentric Hector Nightwine is not the only one interested in finding out who the couple is and why they were murdered. Along with her investigation into the murders, Delilah is also trying to find out more about Snow's elusive Brimstone Kiss, which women from all over the world come to try and experience. Delilah swears that she will never experience his kiss herself, as she is devoted to her boyfriend, the sexy Ric Montoya. With her dog, Quicksilver, to keep her safe, Delilah navigates the seamy underground of Las Vegas. When she crosses the wrong person, she finds herself going to Snow to ask for help in finding Ric, who has disappeared. Will she be able to save Ric without giving up her soul? I give this book 4 1/2 tombstones. Carole Nelson Douglas does another fabulous job of drawing the reader into the story, making them feel as if they are a part of it. Delilah is one tough and sexy woman. She has a love of vintage clothes that is interesting to read about.I love the descriptions of the clothes that are found in Ms. Street's closet. Personally, I'd love to see this series as a movie someday. The use of CinSims are a fascinating element in the story and I can just envision that on screen. Ms. Douglas's descriptions are in-depth and draw a vivid picture in the reader's mind of what is happening in the story. I think she does a fantastic job of blending the paranormal with the mystery element for which she is well known. This book is sexy and irresistible. I do recommend that you pick up Dancing With Werewolves, the first book in the series, before reading this one. Brimstone Kiss builds on the story line started in the first book. If you've read any of Carole Nelson Douglas's Midnight Louie stories, you will want to pick up this series today. Worth every penny!

Delilah Street is an intriuging character and Carole Nelson Douglas does justice to both her and the series in this sequel. I can't wait for the next book in the series. A facinating cast of charaters and a logical well thought out plot drive this book. A little scary, and a lot of fun!

This book is so much fun. Get ready for a wild ride! The characters are fresh, magical and mysterious. I want to find out more... what is going on above and below Las Vegas. Can't wait for the next book. Very cool stuff!

wonderful urban fantasy

Abandoned as a baby, Delilah Street grew up in an group homese that became her surrogate family. As an adult she saw a TV show in which a doctor performed an autopsy on a live woman who looked exactly like her.. Needing to know if it is a real person, a doppelganger or a clone, Delilah goes to Las Vegas where the show was filmed. Of course being it 2013 Post Millennium Revelation she meets the species of myths and legends wile humans are coping with a brand new world. Now a paranormal investigator seeking her twin Lilith, she takes on other jobs in order to eat. Her lover and partner former -FBI agent Ric Montoya a dowser of the dead found two dead bodies never meant to see the light of day. The female is the daughter of the werewolf mob boss who owns Vegas, Mr. Cicereau. Nobody knows who her vampire lover is. Several people ask Delilah to find out who the dead vampire is including vampire Howard Hughes and Snow a supernatural being no one can classify. Her investigation leads Delilah to the conclusion that the vampires on planning a comeback which must be prevented at all costs because these vampires are imported evil. She takes Snow's BRIMSTONE KISS, which leads to a life and death choice re Ric. Carole Nelson Douglas has written a wonderful second Street urban fantasy (see DANCING WITH WEREWOLVES) in which readers know the players and their roles. Delilah discovers a new power which enables her to walk through mirrors into other realms where she interacts with the inhabitants. Readers will remain drawn to her even as she still is an enigma. Fans will hope she and her cronies to include normal vampires (duh- I cannot believe I used the word normal) can defeat the enemy. BRIMSTONE KISS is a magical mystery fantasy tour. Harriet Klausner

Left Hanging! AGAIN!

I absolutely love the character of Delilah Street. For such a rough beginning in life she is a delightfully well rounded young lady. The story line is wonderful, and I think it's fine that an author gives you hints as to the line the next book in a series might take. But WHY do authors feel they must leave you hanging? If I wanted a soap opera cliffhanger... I would just watch soap operas. If the book is GOOD we will buy the next in the series. Please, get a clue, end the book, and pick it up again where we left our hero!
