(Full Score). China Dreams is a four-movement work written in 1995 for the Seattle Symphony. The work reflects Sheng's nostalgia for his homeland, expressed through use of Chinese folk melodies from different provinces. A recording available on Bis CD 1122 by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra also includes other recent works by Sheng: Postcards (1997) and Flute Moon (1999).
