Quirky & Offbeat

Not your typical whodunit. The protagonist is named Richard Barwegan. At one point in the book he calls himself "Spec" Sanders. Maybe I'm the only one old enough to know this, but the story is full of characters named after players in the old All America Football Conference. The author missed an opportunity when he didn't work in Angelo Bertelli's name somehow. A truly weird book.
