Bright Eyes

Very glad to receive this book---an excellent biography of Bright Eyes (Susette LaFlesche--the first woman to speak at Fanueil Hall in Boston---helping to gain recognition of Standing Bear and so other Native Americans to be recognized as human beings---active in Native American Rights. Nathaniel Hawthorne on meeting her called her his Minehaha and was delighted with her in their conversation---Brother was an Anthropologist and a lawyer---Sister was a Medical Doctor who went back to help her people. Thank you Carol J Dewing
