Brief First Encounter is a science fiction novel like no other science fiction novel it challenges the concept that contact with an extraterrestrial intelligence would have only negative consequences. Neal, the director of the Rose Space Center, interacts with Gus, an explorer from Cronin, which faces an existential treat. He is located 35 light years away and interacts via email transported on an advanced communication system. Can Earth and Cronin reach an agreement before Cronin and all its technology is destroyed forever.

The novel has a curveball ending which will delight all science fiction readers.
