Brecken went to stay with his in the country for the weekend. He was not happy about it because he would not have his friends or the internet to play games on his tablet. He was dreading being bored to death. Saturday after his Mom dropped him off started just as he suspected with nothing to do and it was so very quiet compared to all the hustle and bustle of the city. Then in the afternoon, Brecken decided he might as well go exploring on the property. He walked by a cornfield with the corn higher than his head. He saw a small clearing and a scarecrow was hanging there. He walked over and sat in the clearing and started drawing in the dirt with a stick when a shadow dropped behind him. It was the scarecrow who sat down next to him talk to him. They talked and talked and drew in the dirt. Brecken was so happy to have this new friend that he didn't even question how he came to be. When he had to go back in for the night, he made the scarecrow promise to spend time with him the next day.
