Statements like, "I'll never understand a woman," or, "He's just living in a man's world," show how vast the gender gap really is today. Can we really understand the other's culture and the essence of their gender in our binary climate? We spend so much time and effort trying to prove our masculinity or femininity, that we rarely attempt to build a bridge into the other's world, through emphatic communication. What is the real meaning of two becoming one? This is far more than in the sexual area, but a unity of mind, will, and emotions; body, soul and spirit. What about Gender dysphoria, and other gender fluid issues in the world today? Should young children be treated for these issues by the medical profession? What about the intersex continuum, where 2% of the world's population have distinctly unique DNA and gender diversity? We can choose to hide our head in the sand while holding on to our "Binary" view of gender, or allow ourselves to be open to the facts about gender diversity in all of its complexity. In this book, I am endeavoring to communicate with two large communities, and our current political system. One of these is the Christian community and the Church at large. It is my desire to encourage more understanding, communication, bridge building and love. The other community is the LGBTQ movement. Changes and improvements that will foster more understanding and receptivity, instead of "all out" conflict and political hostility. This book addresses these contemporary issues.
