Amazing book

I loved this book so much it really touched me. When i bought this book i really wanted to know what it took for Nadia to get through her abuse. Every chapter that I read gave me goosebumps. Nadia's life never seem to get better it was so sad how her abuse would never stop. She was a very strong girl and never gave up she was determined to care for her and her children, This is one book that i could not put down, people out there who are going through abuse should get strength from this book and know it will be ok to get out just like Nadia did.

Breakaway

Breakaway by Nadia Sahari I recently met Nadia on a flight and after talking with her, I couldn't wait to read her book. I had never known anyone from Lebanon. I was very interested in learning how people from the Arab culture felt about Americans and how they raised their children in America. I felt so sad for Nadia. Her dreams were so real and her parents were determined to keep her isolated and not allow her to assimilate with her American peers. I wonder if Nadia's parents feel differently now or if they still condone the way they raised their children. Nadia paid dearly as a child and again as a much too naive young adult. I was so proud of Nadia that she was able to make it completely on her own. Most people who think they have it hard actually have some help. Nadia had none and she surpassed her wildest dreams.

Breakaway: How I Survived Abuse

Wow! What a book! It is spellbinding from the first chapter to the end. Ms. Sahari relates in candid detail the trail of abuse that she endured from the age of five until her early twenties. Millions of women and children suffer abuse; what's remarkable about Ms. Sahari is that she overcame oppression on her own and is finally living her dreams. As you can tell by the cover, she's vivacious and incredibly beautiful. Kudos to you, Nadia, for being brave enough to tell your story. I'll see you on Oprah, Ellen, Good Morning America, etc., and someday I'll see your story on the big screen. You're amazing! Everyone should read this book.

Breakaway, How I Survived Abuse

Breakaway, How I Survived Abuse, by Nadia Sahari, is an incredible story of the horrendous abuse (physical and mental) that Nadia suffered beginning in early childhood. The sexual assaults, beatings, and other unspeakable events with the accompanying mental anguish continued for many years until she took drastic steps to free herself from these atrocities. But the memories lingered on. Only by firm resolve and steadfastness was she able to overcome the trauma and reach the point in her recovery where she could pursue her ambitions and live a normal life. This treatise is interesting, informative, and artfully crafted. Particularly instructive is how she achieved forgiveness and compassion for those persons who caused her harm. Other people may well benefit from her words of wisdom. This is a splendid, spellbinding read and an opportunity to vicariously walk in her footsteps. I highly recommend this book to any person, particularly someone in an abuse situation, or a family member or friend of such a person, or for that matter anyone who is concerned about this malignancy in our society. It is my privilege to extend my compliments and congratulations to Nadia. "Well Done." Robert.
