What a great old movie!

This classic movie is a gem! SpencerTracey is the priest& MickeyRooney is the bad boy turns good. It is based on a true story & the real priest who started Boystown. Tracey and Rooney don't disappoint here,their superb acting is fully on display. I think kids should watch this movie for what it teaches about someone who has a heart reaching out to the underdog & believing in that person without enabling them but mentoring them & giving them hope & affirming their right to be loved & to rise up thru that love& thru learning & hard work & discipline. It teaches how to be an overcomer not a victim.
