It is important to stand up for yourself. At the end of the day, you are responsible for your life choices and how you feel about them. As a Bosnian Genocide survivor and bullying survivor, I have learned that I had to save myself. I constantly had negativity flung in my face. Anytime I thought that I felt safe in a country I had moved to, I was told that I should know my place. I still carry these feelings of being an outsider. "Bow Down, Bitches!" is a book dedicated to every person that has experienced flavors of hell and that has come out on top. It is a poetry book that takes a firm stance against injustice in all forms. I wrote it to remind people to not allow evil and hatred to dominate. May it inspire you to not allow haters and doubters to disrespect you. Believe in yourself no matter what!
