helpful for those who know nothing about flowers

When I looked at bouquets in wedding magazines, I always found them to be too gaudy or contemporary for my taste so by the time I walked into the florist to plan my wedding, I had no clue what to tell him. I found this book and it was so helpful! It clued me in on what flowers would be best for an off-season wedding. Each bouquet was clearly photographed and then the "recipes" indicated which flowers were being used. I highly recommend this book to people who, although have no intention on making their own bouquets, would still like to have sufficent knowledge to have a beautiful and unique bridal bouquet.

Exquisite Designs~Unique & Exceptional~A Bride's Must See!

I was pleasantly surprised with the content of this book. The Photography is Wonderful~the Bouquets are Exceptional~and the Information is Priceless.Marsha Heckman has some of the most creative designs in Bridal Bouquets that I have ever seen. So pleasingly Romantic, and Wistful. I was especially impressed with how she describes each flower included in each bouquet, and what each flower, vine, or berry represents. In addition, she lists the flowers and supplies required to make each bouquet, along with her added touches that make each one special to it's perspective Bride. Her unique uses of seashells, pearls, rhinestones, and other materials, not usually indicative to a bridal bouquet, make this book a "Must See" for Every Bride! Bravo!

A refreshing approach to bridal bouquets.

It's difficult to find unique and elegant wedding flower books. This book was a breath of fresh air! As a florist, I'm always looking for books to give brides beautiful bouquet ideas. This book has been a been a big hit with every bride who's seen it. Most of the bouquets have a look of understated elegance. If you're looking for ideas on modern bridal bouquets, this is an excellent source. NOTE: It does have some instructions on how to make the bouquets, but the directions seem like they would be difficult without floral design background.

What Brides Want

BOUQUETS stands out as a dream book for a bride-to-be. The bouquets and the photography are dreamy and romantic and soft, the history and meanings and traditions are just what I want to read. And the nuts and bolts how-to is practical.I've read every book and magazine about weddings since August and THIS is what I've been looking for.

An excellent how-to book for beautiful bouquets!

This is the book to get if you want to make fresh wedding bouquets for a wedding. Especially helpful are the detailed materials list for each bouquet project, plus an estimate of how far in advance the bouquet can safely be made. Each project features flowers that are in-season for the time of year stated in the book, and styles range from the traditional to the unique and unusual. There is something here for every taste! I highly recommend this book!
