Bound opens in a small Vermont town called Danport, where Friday night's entertainment is high school football and all businesses close on Sunday for church. It is into this ordinary, little community a stranger walks. As he passes house after unsuspecting house, he thinks to himself, Norman Rockwell could not have painted a cozier picture. If only they knew. Full of self-loathing, the stranger is on a mission to wreak havoc, and he's good at what he does. This peaceful little hamlet won't even know what hit them. Hating his life, overwhelmed with self-disdain, but with no choice, the stranger trudges on. He's helpless to do otherwise. The stranger is bound.
