Being born a woman has been a challenge ever since the day that Mother Eve succumbed to that temptation in the Garden of Eden. Mother Eve reaped the consequences as we still do; women bearing the offspring in pain, challenged by the rebellion of our children, face socio-economic injustices, are sometimes sole breadwinners for our families, and suffer mental and physical abuse from spouses and significant others.After reviewing the book Bouncing Back, by my pastor, Dr. D. Robert Kennedy, with a foreword by Dr. S. June Kennedy, it caused me to reflect on my own journey. A volume of this magnitude is needed as an encouragement to women, both inside and outside of the church. Any woman who needs to be reminded of the redeeming power of almighty God, no matter how far you have strayed from his side, or how worthless you may feel because of things you have done in your life, should read this book, Bouncing Back. It is a timely inspiration to me and will be to all women who are seeking to bounce back from the ravages of self-deprecation and separation from God, orchestrated by the enemy of souls.
