The innocent bride: Victoria was from a poor background, but Greek billionaire Alexei Christou still wanted her. The wayward wife? But passion wasn't enough, and soon their marriage fell apart. His bought mistress: Victoria must ask for a divorce and is desperate for cash. Alexei won't refuse her the money, but he'll make her work for it...as his mistress!
If you looking for G-rated romance novel then this is not for you. I really like this book - it caught me in the first chapter. Alexei (wealthy Greek man) and Victoria (Poor English women) married when they both were very young. Seven years after they seperated Victoria wants a divorce. Victoria is in debt and Alexei has become a coldhearted pig. Even though Alexei is terrible as the reader you know he is not happy therefore you want Victoria and him to make it work. Enjoy! If you enjoy this genre, I would also suggest Body Check by Deirdre Martin , Wedding Survivor by Julia London, A Stranger's Touch by Tori Carrington ,Glory Days by Irene Peterson and Squeeze Play by Kate Angell.
Alexei not your typical hero.

So what? Who says all heroes have to be the same as long as they reach their destination by the end of the book? Many people say former playboys make the best husbands anyway. I think this is a book that either you hate or love. True, Alexei was raw, vulgar even, and I often could not believe the words that came out of his mouth. At one point I even thought "Someday if I ever have a pig I will name him Alexei". But I enjoyed this book. Many parts of it I read again. I still have it in my handbag ready to read again as time permits me to. I am glad the author had the guts to write such a controversial story and let Alexei be the man he was throughout the story. Only the love of a sweet lady such as Victoria could melt that cynical heart of his and allow all the readers to see that all along, he really was a diamond in the rough.
