Borr vs. the Godnappers

"Thor is not dead," Wodin, King of the Asgardian Gods, proclaimed to the Royal Court. "How can you be sure?" insisted Sif, Goddess of War and Thor's wife. "If he were dead, I would sense the need to appoint a new God of the Storms," Wodin grimly continued. "Thor is alive, but he's been abducted by humans." "We must rescue him," Sif roared. "Give me command of the armies, Sire and I will rid the Earth of all humans." "And...rescue Thor," Wodin prompted. "What? Oh, yeah, that too," Sif shrugged. Wodin stared at Sif for several seconds. I knew what he was thinking. He wanted Thor returned and he wanted it done with the least amount of destruction, and that meant that he needed one God, but I was praying that he wouldn't say the name. "Get me Borr," Wodin ordered. I'm Borr, son of Thor and King Wodin's favorite God when some dirty, impossible and suicidal job needs doing. I know what's coming. Wodin is going to give me twenty-four hours to discover who kidnapped Thor, where he is being held and rescue him. No problem. Oh, did I mention that along the way I will have to face Hela the Goddess of Death, a giant that wants to kill me, an army of fanatical humans and an insane preacher. Okay, there may be a few problems, but at least I have help: a homicidal, telepathic helsteed, a mysterious warrior who may be working for the enemy and a Goddess who would rather see me dead than work with me. Maybe if I could just slip out of the room King Wodin won't know that I am present. And then, with luck, I could escape to a nice little elfin bar that I know about where the waitresses are...
