Terrific, better than expected!

It's a great tale with very appreciated hot entries! Just notsomething we ought to pick to read in the office. *L*

An Ex SEAL and a princess make for a combustable match!

Christina Sebastiani, a Montebellan princess, likes being in Montana. She is able to conduct her research far away from the society of her small country. The small college campus is ideal for her and anonyminity is never a problem. That all changes when Jack Dalton comes to town. Jack is an ex-Navy Seal. He was badly wounded only a short time ago. Still, when his father asks him to assess the possible danger to the princess, Jack readily agrees. He never expects to lose his heart in the process. As Jack and Christina struggle with their newfound attraction, they must also face the dangers that surround them. Will Jack and Christina lose their hearts to each other? This has been my favorite book in the series! Christina's brainy outlook was a perfect counter-balance to her innocence, while Jack was the perfect wounded hero! This was my first book by Virginia Khantra but it most certainly will not be my last!

Fantastic!

Jack Dalton's an ex-navy SEAL. He's not sure what he's going to do now that his career is over, but even in his wildest dreams did he anticipate babysitting a microbe-hunting princess. Christina Sebastiani doesn't believe she's in danger. Montana is a long way from the kingdom Montebello, but she can't convince her body guard of that. He's annoying, intrusive...but for some reason, he grows on her like a fungus. Jack ends up protecting not just a princess, but her heart. She deserves better than he could possibly give her. It's up to Christina to convince him is that all she really wants is to be loved, and there's no one more qualified for the job than he is!Virginia Kantra writes a wonderful modern day fairytale where the princess ends up charming her prince and creating her own happily-ever-after! Her characters are layered and so well drawn that it's easy to forget that they're not real. Jack's search for a new identity, and Christina's insistence on being true to who she is, not who others feel she's meant to be makes for a rich, satisfying read.

Love, honor, and courage -- very highly recommended

Christina Sebastiani of Montebello might trade life in a palace for a life among books in the ivory towers of Montana University, but she's still a princess. A research scientist, Christina is more interested in collecting soil samples than worrying over her father's perception of danger. Despite her highly educated background, however, Christina lacks the most elementary education in the wild, wonderful things men do with women. She can't help the fantasy that her new bodyguard might be willing to teach her. When the sniper in the Philippians blew away part of Nave Seal Jack Dalton's shoulder and career, he also took a monster portion of Jack's confidence. Out of the Seals, Jack fills his father's request to safeguard Christina. He can't resist the smoldering passion lurking beneath the virgin exterior. It doesn't take long for him to know this is the princess he was BORN TO PROTECT. But he may not be able to protect his heart from this innocently tantalizing temptress. Themes of love, honor and courage come to life in with the talented pen of author Virginia Kantra in BORN TO PROTECT. With a perfect balance of romantic tension, these reluctant lovers will live in readers' hearts. Despite their extraordinary backgrounds, these are real characters with human flaws and misgivings. These strong characterizations and the fascinating plot make BORN TO PROTECT very highly recommended.
